As a HC Truck Driver, you will be responsible for delivering roof trusses, wall frames, and building components to construction sites. This is a hands‑on role operating a crane-equipped truck, requiring safe transport and unloading of building products while providing excellent customer service on site.
Key responsibilities
- Delivering roof trusses, wall frames, and building components to construction sites
- Operating the truck‑mounted crane to safely unload products
- Securing loads in accordance with transport regulations
- Conducting pre‑start and daily vehicle inspections
- Completing delivery paperwork and maintaining accurate records
- Communicating effectively with builders, site supervisors, and dispatch staff
- Maintaining a strong commitment to workplace health and safety
About you
- Experience operating heavy vehicles
- Ability to safely operate a truck‑mounted crane (or willingness to be trained)
- Excellent understanding of load restraint requirements
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules
- White Card (preferred)
- Forklift licence and/or CV (Vehicle Loading Crane) ticket highly regarded
