This is a safety-critical, technical pool service role working 2am to approximately 8:00 AM. You will service commercial swimming pools, gym hot and cold recovery pools, shopping-centre water features, kids' wading pools and waterparks across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Ipswich. No prior pool experience is required — full in office training and assessment will be provided over a 6-8 week paid trial. You will start as casual 20-30 hrs/week during training, transitioning to permanent part-time once competent with hours increasing to match.
Key responsibilities
Perform routine pool servicing: leaf netting, vacuuming, scrubbing waterlines, hosing down water features and waterpark areas
Follow detailed instruction sheets and safety procedures for each site and piece of equipment
Carry out basic equipment checks and report faults promptly and accurately
Work independently once assessed competent; attend occasional team briefings during training
Maintain accurate job records and communicate clearly with supervisors and clients
About you
Very good spoken English and strong comprehension — must communicate clearly and follow written instructions precisely
Reliable,
punctual and focused — attention to detail is essential
Above-average practical skills and ability to think on your feet while following procedures
Physically fit for manual outdoor work and comfortable working overnight/early morning shifts
Willingness to learn and progress toward a Commercial Pool Technician role
Use of your own car required during the 6-8 week training period; a fuel card will be supplied
Training pay (recommended): $28 per hour AUD (casual) during the 6-8 week paid trial
Post-training pay (recommended): $30-$32 per hour AUD depending on competence and responsibilities
Fuel card provided for work travel during training
End-of-trial vehicle bonus: $300 AUD after successful completion of training and assessment
Company vehicle supplied once you are assessed competent to work independently
