The Casino Food Companyis a leading export food processor with production facilities located in Casino and Booyong, near Lismore, in the Northern Rivers area of the NSW Far North Coast.

We are seeking a commercially minded and analytical Financial Analyst to support the Head of Finance in delivering financial reporting, business insights, and performance analysis across the business.

n

This role offers a unique blend of financial analysis, financial accounting, and data analytics, partnering closely with operational teams to drive performance, support strategic decision-making, and improve reporting through automation and business intelligence tools.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Analyse revenue, margins, production costs, and operational KPIs.
n
- Monitor performance against budget and forecast, providing variance analysis and insights.
n
- Support monthly management reporting and board reporting packs.
n
- Prepare profitability, scenario, and investment analysis to support business decisions, particularly for Capex projects.
n
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
n
- Assist accountant to review the weekly P&L; and management reports.
n
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data within ERP systems.
n
- Assist with the process of Internal Audit to ensure compliance with established procedures or agreed business objectives.
n
- Extract, analyse, and interpret data using SQL, Power BI, Excel, and ERP systems.
n
- Develop and optimise SQL queries to support reporting and business insights.
n
- Build automated reports, dashboards, and KPI reporting solutions.
n
- Analyse operational performance, inventory, labour, and production trends.
n




- Support data-driven decision-making through advanced analytics.
n

Business Partnering & Continuous Improvement

- Provide financial insights and education to operational and business leaders.
n
- Attend operational meetings with business unit leaders.
n
- Analyse production costs, yields, and operational efficiencies.
n
- Support reporting automation, ERP enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.
n
- Drive continuous improvement across finance reporting and analytics.
n

Qualifications & Experience

n

n
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related discipline.
n
- CA/CPA qualified or working towards qualification (preferable).
n
- Experience in FP&A;, Management Accounting, Commercial Finance, or Financial Accounting.
n
- Experience with SQL querying and data analysis skills.
n
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modelling and Power Query.
n
- Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
n
- Experience working with ERP and planning systems.
n
- Solid analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
n
- Experience within food manufacturing, food processing, agribusiness, or FMCG.
n
- Experience in reporting automation and finance process improvement.
n
