Overview

The Production and Planning Assistant will be working with mechanical production team through hands on experience in assembly, machine shop, planning and production documents control areas. This role will have potential growth opportunity in production management and supply/demand planning areas.

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Responsibilities

- Create and maintain sustainable document control process for SOP’s, maintenance register, training documents, improvements and other production related documents
- Undertaking and supporting daily planning activities of the business to service the needs of the customer base.
- Producing all shop packet and picking reports for daily preparation. Closure of discrete jobs for finalisation.
- Raising requisitions for production related expense and consumables items or components and chasing them through purchasing
- Assistance in working on LEAN projects for better productivity/cost benefits




- Maintaining and organizing maintenance on key production equipment
- Actively supporting in manufacturing cell cycle counting process
- Organize, & maintain inventory in “Smart Cabinet” for CNC’s with assistance from machine shop Team Leader and Vendor
- Assist in mechanical assembly or Machine shop as required to assemble/test products or operate machines
- Other duties as assigned by Production Manager

Qualifications/Requirements

- Manufacturing or Mechanical.
- Fitting/Machining trade qualification
- Proficient in MS-office (specifically MS word and Excel)
- Strong mechanical reasoning skills.
