You are required to perform the following:

Customer Service

Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude.

Take orders and address customer inquiries regarding menu items and specials.

Provide recommendations and assist customers in making informed choices.

Ensure that customers have a pleasant dining experience and address any concerns promptly and professionally.

Food Preparation

Assist in the preparation of sushi rolls, sashimi, and other menu items.

Follow recipes and standard procedures to ensure consistent food quality.

Ensure that ingredients are fresh and well-stocked, notifying the manager when supplies need replenishment.

Adhere to food safety and hygiene guidelines to maintain high-quality standards.

Order Processing

Accurately record orders, ensuring all special requests or dietary preferences are noted.

Assemble and package orders efficiently to meet delivery or takeaway deadlines.

Coordinate with the kitchen and delivery staff to ensure orders are ready on time.

Shop Maintenance and Hygiene

Keep the shop clean, organized, and presentable at all times.

Follow workplace hygiene protocols, such as regular handwashing, wearing appropriate protective clothing (e.g., gloves and hairnets), and maintaining personal cleanliness.

Regularly restocking condiments, utensils, and other supplies as needed.

Regularly clean and sanitize food preparation surfaces, utensils, and equipment.

Monitor and maintain proper temperature control of food items to prevent contamination.

Monitoring and maintaining the cleanliness of tables, chairs, and other customer seating areas.

Dispose of waste and garbage following proper procedures.

Workplace Health and Safety

Comply with workplace health and safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment,



safe handling procedures, food safety requirements and lawful workplace safety directions.

Operational Compliance Support

Assist the store manager with basic operational documentation and workplace compliance tasks where reasonably required.

Follow workplace food safety procedures, hygiene requirements and operational instructions relating to health and safety compliance.

Punctuality and Professionalism

Maintain a high level of punctuality and professionalism, arriving for shifts on time and dressed in appropriate attire.

Conduct yourself in a courteous and respectful manner with customers, colleagues, and management.

Cash Handling

Handle cash and electronic payments accurately and securely.

Process transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system and provide customers with receipts.

Team Collaboration

Cooperating with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.

Communicating effectively with colleagues to ensure a seamless workflow and excellent customer service.

Assisting team members during busy periods and demonstrating a flexible approach to tasks.

Operational Support

Follow workplace operational procedures, food preparation standards, cleaning schedules, opening and closing procedures, stock rotation requirements and other operational instructions issued by the Employer from time to time.

Assist with maintaining effective workflow, food presentation standards and general store operations during busy trading periods.

We may also assign you other duties, where reasonable for your position, training and experience, and you must comply with lawful and reasonable workplace policies, procedures and instructions.

Pay: From $34.76 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 36.0 per week
