Subcontractor Allied Health Assistants Wanted

Northern and Western Suburbs of Melbourne

$50 per hour, plus superannuation where applicable

United Care Network is seeking compassionate, reliable and enthusiastic Allied Health Assistants to join our growing team on a subcontractor basis.

The role involves supporting children and young people in their homes, schools, kindergartens, childcare centres and community settings across Melbourne’s northern and western suburbs.

About the role

Working under the delegation and supervision of qualified allied health professionals, you may:

- Deliver therapy activities developed by occupational therapists, speech pathologists or other supervising therapists.
- Support children with communication, fine-motor, emotional-regulation, social and daily-living goals.
- Provide play-based and capacity-building activities.
- Record accurate and timely session notes.
- Communicate professionally with families, educators and supervising therapists.
- Attend supervision and follow delegated therapy plans.
- Travel between participants and community settings.

Qualifications Applicants must have one of the following:

- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance, preferably including occupational therapy, speech pathology or community rehabilitation skill sets; or
- A relevant recognised allied health qualification; or
- Current study in occupational therapy, speech pathology, physiotherapy or another relevant allied health discipline, with suitable experience.

Experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, developmental delay, communication needs,



sensory differences or emotional-regulation difficulties is highly regarded.

Required checks and documentation

Successful applicants must hold or obtain:

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
- Current Victorian Employee Working with Children Clearance.
- Current National Police Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate.
- Infection prevention and control training certificate.
- Valid Australian driver’s licence.
- Reliable registered vehicle and comprehensive motor-vehicle insurance.
- Current ABN and ability to issue invoices.
- Professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
- Personal accident or income-protection insurance.
- Australian working rights.
- Relevant qualification certificates and academic transcripts.
- Two qualified referees.

Applicants must also be willing to complete organisational induction, child-safety training, mandatory-reporting training and any additional training required for their allocated participants.
