Your new role

We are seeking an experienced Research & Evaluation Specialist (APS6 equivalent) to lead and deliver research, evaluation, and analytical projects that support strategic programs and initiatives. In this role, you will work with stakeholders to gather evidence, analyse data, evaluate outcomes, and provide practical recommendations that influence decision-making and future improvements. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled researcher or evaluator who enjoys turning complex information into meaningful insights.

Key responsibilities include

- Lead and deliver research and evaluation projects
- Design and conduct qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method research
- Analyse and interpret data from a range of sources
- Develop evaluation frameworks, performance measures, and monitoring approaches
- Prepare reports, presentations, and briefing materials
- Provide evidence-based recommendations and insights




- Engage with internal and external stakeholders
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and best-practice evaluation standards

What you'll need to succeed To be successful, you will bring:

- Demonstrated experience in research, evaluation, or related analytical roles
- Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills
- Experience developing evaluation frameworks and performance measures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management abilities
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes
- Experience within government, health, digital health, policy, behavioural science, or a related field will be highly regarded
- Relevant tertiary qualifications are desirable
- Already Obtain an NV1 Clearance
