Join Redland City Council's Tree Services Team | 6 Permanent Opportunities Available

Are you passionate about arboriculture and enjoy working outdoors? Redland City Council is growing its Tree Services team and we're seeking motivated professionals to help care for the trees, parks and natural spaces that make Redlands Coast such a special place to live, work and visit.

With six permanent opportunities available, including:

- 2 x Arboricultural Services Team Leaders
- 4 x Arborists / Groundspersons

there's an opportunity for both experienced leaders and skilled arborists looking to build their career within a supportive, safety-focused organisation. Don't currently hold a Certificate III? We still encourage you to apply. Suitable candidates may be considered for appointment at Level 4, with support provided to obtain the required qualification and progress their career with Council.

As an Arboricultural Services Team Leader you will: lead experienced crews delivering essential arboricultural services across the Redlands Coast. You'll coordinate daily operations, mentor team members, oversee emergency response activities and drive a positive safety culture while helping shape and maintain Council's urban forest.

As an Arborist / Groundsperson you will: join a skilled Tree Services team undertaking pruning, tree removal, vegetation management and urban forest maintenance activities. Whether you're an experienced arborist or looking to further develop your arboriculture career, we encourage you to apply.

We're looking for people who:

- Have experience in arboriculture, vegetation management, horticulture, or a similar field.
- Enjoy working outdoors and take pride in delivering quality outcomes.
- Put safety first and have a strong understanding of safe work practices.
- Are team players with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Can operate arboricultural equipment and machinery safely and effectively.
- Hold relevant licences and qualifications, or are willing to further develop their skills.
- Have leadership experience or aspirations to develop into leadership roles.

Eligibility:

Level 4

- You'll have a Current Class 'C' Drivers Licence
- You'll have the physical capability to safely perform outdoor operational work which is confirmed through a pre-employment functional assessment
- You'll have availability to perform after hours work on an on-call and call-out basis
- To be eligible for employment, applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia.

Level 5 and Level 7 (in addition to the Level 4 criteria above)

- You will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in the relevant field
- You'll hold a qualification in either of the following:
- TAFE Certificate III in Arboriculture
- TAFE Certificate III in Horticulture or equivalent
- Landscape Construction including a playground Inspector – Level 2 Certificate
- Certificate III Conservation and Land Management, Fire Management or equivalent
- Certificate III in Sports Turf Management, or Greenkeeping Qualification
