To support our growth, Neumann Space is looking for an Assembly Technician to join our growing team in Adelaide and contribute to the manufacturing, assembly and testing of our innovative satellite propulsion systems.

Our patented Neumann Drive® technology is redefining in-space mobility, and as we continue to expand our production capability, we are seeking talented individuals to join our manufacturing team.

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and highly detail-oriented Assembly Technician to support the assembly, integration, and testing of Neumann Space's Pulse Plasma Thrusters. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with experience assembling precision electro-mechanical products in a controlled manufacturing setting. Working closely with engineering and production teams, you will play a key role in assembling, inspecting and testing propulsion systems to the highest quality standards for our growing international customer base.

Key Responsibilities

· Assemble propulsion systems and associated subassemblies in accordance with assembly procedures, work instructions, and quality procedures.





· Perform mechanical and electrical assembly tasks including PCB mounting, soldering, wiring, mechanical fastening, alignment, and integration of components.

· Conduct inspections, measurements, and functional testing to verify product quality and performance.

· Maintain highly accurate production and quality records throughout the manufacturing process using the incumbent MRP systems

· Identify and report assembly issues, non-conformances, and opportunities for process improvement.

· Support prototype builds, engineering development activities, and production scaling initiatives.

· Work within ISO 9001 quality management systems and follow cleanroom and ESD handling procedures where required.

· Assist with inventory management and preparation of components for production activities.

· Collaborate effectively with engineers, quality personnel, and production staff to achieve manufacturing objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

· Minimum 3 years' experience assembling electro-mechanical products in a manufacturing or production environment.

· Demonstrated ability to read and interpret assembly instructions and technical documentation.

· Experience using precision hand tools, measuring equipment, and assembly fixtures.





· Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

· Experience working in the space, aerospace, defence, electronics, or other high-reliability manufacturing sectors will be highly regarded.

· Relevant trade qualification, certificate, or technical training in electronics, mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or a related field is desirable.

· PCB assembly experience is desirable.
