Reporting directly to an experienced Financial Controller, you'll join a team-oriented finance team supporting multiple dealership operations.

About the Role

As Assistant Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the finance function across multiple dealership operations while working closely with senior finance leadership.

This is a hands-on position that offers exposure to both transactional finance and month-end accounting responsibilities.

- Supporting month-end and year-end close processes
- Preparing bank reconciliations and investigating variances
- Assisting with management reporting and financial analysis
- Supporting the preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Managing general ledger reconciliations and journal entries




- Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
- Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting compliance requirements
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Supporting statutory reporting and audit preparation
- Partnering with operational stakeholders across multiple dealership locations

About You

- Currently studying towards or completed CA/CPA qualifications will be highly regarded with 2+ years' accounting experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar role
- Previous experience working within a dealership or automotive retail environment is essential
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across the business
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and desire to continue learning and developing
