Exercise Physiologist | New Burpengary Clinic

$42-$55 per hour + super | Full-time preferred - open to Part time

Intrinsic Health is opening a brand-new, purpose-built allied health clinic in Burpengary in October 2026 - and we're looking for an Exercise Physiologist to join us from the start.

n

This is more than a new role. It is an opportunity to help shape a growing service, build strong local connections and make your mark from day one.

n

You'll be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team (MDT) alongside Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, with dedicated administration support five days a week and access to our broader allied health network.

n

What you'll be doing

n

You'll enjoy a varied caseload across our clinic and the local community, supporting clients to achieve meaningful health, mobility and independence goals.

n

Your day may include:

n

n
- Completing Exercise Physiology assessments and developing individualised exercise programs
n
- Delivering one-on-one and, where appropriate, group-based exercise sessions
n
- Supporting clients to improve their strength, mobility, balance, endurance and functional capacity
n
- Working with clients experiencing chronic health conditions, disability, age-related changes, injury or reduced physical function
n
- Monitoring progress and adapting exercise programs in response to client needs and goals
n
- Using appropriate clinical outcome measures to demonstrate progress
n
- Collaborating with other clinicians within the multidisciplinary team
n
- Providing practical education and strategies to support safe and sustainable participation in physical activity
n
- Completing accurate and timely clinical documentation,



reports and progress updates
n
- Contributing to the development and growth of the centre-based Exercise Physiology service
n

About you

n

We're looking for an Exercise Physiologist who is confident, practical and loves helping people achieve meaningful outcomes through movement.

n

You'll enjoy building tailored exercise programs, working closely with clients and adapting your approach as their goals, capacity and confidence develop.

n

You'll also be someone who is:

n

n
- Confident completing Exercise Physiology assessments and individualised exercise programs
n
- Skilled in supporting strength, mobility, balance, endurance and functional capacity
n
- Comfortable working with clients across chronic health, disability, rehabilitation and ageing
n
- Person-centred and focused on practical, measurable outcomes
n




- Collaborative and confident working within a multidisciplinary team
n
- Adaptable across clinic and community settings
n
- Positive, proactive and excited to help grow the service
n

n

Experience across rehabilitation, disability, chronic disease management, community or older-person Exercise Physiology would be highly regarded.

n

You'll need

n

n
- A recognised tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology
n
- Current Accredited Exercise Physiologist accreditation with Exercise & Sports Science Australia
n
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
n
- Experience or an interest in rehabilitation, chronic health conditions, disability, healthy ageing or functional exercise
n
- Robust clinical reasoning and exercise prescription skills
n
- A person-centred and strengths-based approach
n
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
n
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
n
- A Medicare provider number, or willingness and eligibility to obtain one
n
- Full working rights in Australia
