Our client is a well established and respected manufacturer based in Seven Hills and is seeking an experienced Trade Qualified Fitter Machinist.

n

This is a temp/casual role offering ongoing work with the potential for the right candidate to secure a permanent position.

n

About the Role

n

n
- Fitting, assembling and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment
n
- Operating conventional machining equipment
n
- Machining and manufacturing components to specification
n
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
n
- Using a range of hand and power tools
n
- Mechanical repairs, maintenance and fault finding
n
- Measuring, cutting and machining components
n
- Assisting with machinery installation and modifications
n
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised workshop
n
- Working as part of an experienced manufacturing team
n

To Be Successful, You Will Have:

n

n
- Trade Certificate in Fitting & Machining,



Fitter Machinist or equivalent
n
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
n
- Strong mechanical and machining skills
n
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
n
- Experience operating workshop machinery
n
- Strong mechanical fault finding and problem solving skills
n
- Excellent attention to detail
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
- Reliable work history and strong work ethic
n
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
n
