Job Description

A practical and detail-focused Senior Finance and Business Analyst role supporting the financial management and business analysis needs of a values-driven not-for-profit education organisation on the central coast. The role works across RTO, Smart and Skilled, ACE and Special Assistance School operations and plays a key part in monthly reporting, budgets, funding acquittals and financial governance.

Key responsibilities

n

Prepare monthly management reports and budget variance commentary.

n

Report year-to-date results against budget to the CEO and Board.

n

Review the work of and work with the contracted bookkeeper.

n

Prepare and support Smart and Skilled, ACE and other funding acquittals.

n

Review expenditure, identify cost savings and support budgeting.

n

Maintain costing tools for programs, courses and staffing.

n

Review tax,



payroll and compliance processes.

n

Support improvements to finance policies, procedures and internal controls.

n

About you

n

Accounting qualifications are preferred but not essential.

n

Senior bookkeeping, finance officer or business management experience will be highly regarded.

n

Experience in an RTO, school, not-for-profit or funded program workplace is desirable.

n

You are accurate, organised and able to explain financial information clearly.

n

You are comfortable working closely with a CEO, Board, bookkeeper and operational managers.

n

Understanding of GST, BAS, payroll, superannuation and funding compliance.
