is seeking a highly experienced

Senior Commercial Electrical Technician

to join our Brisbane Service team.

This position is suited to a well-rounded commercial electrician who brings strong technical knowledge, takes pride in delivering quality work and wants to contribute to the continued development of our technicians.

You will work across a diverse range of commercial environments, including premium and A-grade buildings, office fit-outs and sites managed by Tier 1 clients. The role combines hands‑on technical work, complex fault-finding and minor works.

The role As a senior member of our Service team, you will be responsible for:

Delivering commercial electrical maintenance, upgrades and minor works

Diagnosing complex electrical and control system faults

Completing planned preventative maintenance across premium commercial properties

Installing, testing and commissioning commercial electrical systems

Delivering office fit‑outs, refurbishments and tenancy upgrades

Communicating professionally with facility managers and Tier 1 clients

Sharing your technical knowledge and supporting the continued development of our technicians

Providing guidance on complex work and helping maintain consistent technical standards

Completing all work in accordance with Australian Standards, client requirements and HDE’s quality and safety systems

This is a senior, hands‑on position that allows you to take on greater technical and leadership responsibility without moving away from the tools or into a traditional people‑management role.

About you We are looking for someone who has built substantial experience across commercial electrical environments and is confident working independently while leading by example.

You will have:

An unrestricted Queensland electrical licence

Extensive experience as a commercial electrician or electrical service technician





Solid fault‑finding and problem‑solving capabilities

Experience delivering commercial office fit‑outs and refurbishment works

Experience working on premium commercial properties or with Tier 1 clients

The ability to interpret drawings, specifications and technical documentation

A professional approach to client communication and site presentation

A willingness to share your knowledge and contribute to the development of the wider team

A current driver’s licence, White Card and CPR/LVR accreditation

DALI, C-Bus, Zencontrol or other commercial lighting control systems

Commercial electrical controls and building automation interfaces

Generator testing and maintenance

Emergency and essential power systems

Air circuit breaker testing and maintenance
