About the Role

n

This is a hands-on role within our busy steel yard and dispatch environment. You'll be responsible for safely operating our 6-direction overhead crane to move, load and unload structural steel and building materials, ensuring orders are handled efficiently and ready for dispatch.

n

Successful candidates will undergo formal training to operate the crane; however, previous experience is highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Safely operating overhead cranes to move and position structural steel and building materials
n
- Loading and unloading trucks using cranes and other yard equipment
n




- Preparing and positioning steel orders for dispatch
n
- Ensuring materials are handled safely to prevent damage
n
- Assisting with general yard and warehouse duties as required
n
- Maintaining a clean, compliant and organised worksite
n
- Following all safety procedures and site requirements
n
- Supporting the wider operations and dispatch team as required
n

Essential Requirements

n

n
- Previous crane operating experience – Desirable
n
- Relevant crane licence/ticket – Desirable
n
- Current Driver's Licence – Essential
n
- Minimum 1 years' experience in a similar steel yard, warehouse or manufacturing environment
n
- Experience handling structural steel or long/heavy materials highly regarded
n
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
n
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a busy yard environment
n
- Reliable, punctual and team-oriented
n
