Highlands Campus is a thriving Christian community made up of a Church, Early Learning Centre and P-12 College. We are seeking a Chef or Cook for a full time role in the Highlands Cafe.

The Cafe primarily serves staff, members of the church community and public, and is separate to the College Tuckshop facilities that serve students.

n

About the role

n

This is a full time Monday to Friday role with minimal overtime or weekend work.

n

Key responsibilities

n

n
- Leading and coordinating the cafe team during daily operations
n
- Preparing and cooking food, overseeing presentation and food quality
n
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
n
- Assisting with day-to-day management of the cafe, menu planning and staff rosters
n




- Managing stock levels and ordering from suppliers
n
- Supporting a positive and welcoming environment in the Campus hub
n

About You

n

The successful applicant should have the following characteristics and skills:

- Previous cafe or hospitality experience
n
- Positive attitude and customer focus
n
- Ability to work in a quick-paced environment during peak times
n
- Commitment to excellence in food standards and presentation
n
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
n
- Ability to obtain a blue card (working with children check)
n
- Qualifications are not essential but will be highly regarded
