Quality Officer | Major Infrastructure Projects

Are you an experienced Quality Officer with a background in infrastructure or construction?

n

We are seeking an experienced Quality Officer to join a major infrastructure delivery program, supporting projects across 4 regions – North, South, East and West. The successful candidate will be allocated to the region closest to them.

n

This is a fantastic prospect for someone who enjoys getting out on site and working across a variety of projects rather than being based in the same location every day.

About the Role

n

Working across multiple major infrastructure projects, you will support project teams, contractors and delivery partners to ensure quality standards, technical specifications and compliance requirements are met.

n

Your duties will include:

n

- Conducting site surveillance, quality inspections and audits
n
- Reviewing Quality Management Plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
n
- Monitoring compliance with technical specifications and project requirements
n
- Identifying non-conformances and assisting with corrective actions
n
- Reviewing and reporting on quality performance and trends
n
- Supporting quality requirements across civil, electrical and mechanical works
n
- Maintaining quality documentation, procedures and guidelines
n
- Attending project meetings and site inspections
n
- Working closely with contractors, engineers and project stakeholders
n
- Travelling between project sites across North, South, East and Western Sydney

About You

n

To be successful, you will ideally have:

n

n




- 3–5 years' experience in a similar Quality Officer or quality-focused role
n
- Experience within infrastructure or construction projects
n
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and quality auditing
n
- Experience reviewing ITPs, quality plans and project documentation
n
- Knowledge of relevant quality and construction legislation
n
- Strong analytical, investigation and problem-solving skills
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication
n
- Confidence working with contractors, engineers and stakeholders
n
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
n
- Construction Industry White Card – essential
n
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
n
- Internal or External Auditor qualifications would be highly regarded
n

The Details

n

Pay Rate: $550–$600 per day + Super
n Contract: 6 months, with possibility of extension
n Hours: 40 hours per week
n Start: ASAP, subject to pre-employment checks
n Location: Projects all over Sydney – North, South, East & West
n Office: Parramatta when required
n Working Arrangement: Predominantly site-based, approximately 3 days per week across project locations, 1 day in the Parramatta office and 1 day WFH, depending on project requirements
n Pre-employment Checks: Police Check and 2 employment references
