I’m working with a leading top-tier Australian firm looking to add an Associate or Senior Associate to its Corporate M&A; team in Sydney.

For corporate lawyers wanting exposure to the full spectrum of transactional work, rather than being pushed into a particularly narrow practice, this is an excellent opportunity.

The work

You’ll work alongside some of the market’s leading corporate lawyers on major Australian and cross-border transactions across:

- Public M&A;, including takeovers and schemes
- Private M&A;
- Private equity transactions
- Equity capital markets
- Corporate advisory and governance The client base includes major listed companies, financial sponsors and international organisations, with matters spanning infrastructure, energy, financial services, technology, healthcare, mining, media and retail.

You’ll have the opportunity to work across M&A;, private equity and capital markets as you develop, rather than having to specialise too early.

You’ll also gain exposure to different Partners and work closely with leading Banking & Finance, Funds and Tax teams on complex transactions.

Who they’re looking for

There is flexibility from Associate through to Senior Associate.

Ideally, you’ll have robust Corporate/M&A; experience from a leading Australian, international or top-tier firm and be comfortable working on sophisticated transactional matters.

Australian corporate lawyers currently overseas and considering a return to Sydney are also encouraged to get in touch.
