About the role

Chamberlain Auto Electrics is seeking an experienced Automotive Electrician to join our team in Welshpool, WA 6106. This is a full-time position offering a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading automotive electrical service provider. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and installing electrical systems in a variety of vehicles.

You will be at the forefront of delivering high-quality electrical solutions to our valued customers, utilising your technical expertise and problem-solving skills. Key responsibilities

- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in vehicles using diagnostic equipment and testing tools
- Repair and replace faulty electrical components, including batteries, alternators, starters, and wiring harnesses
- Install aftermarket electrical systems and accessories such as alarms, audio systems, and lighting upgrades
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicle electrical systems to ensure optimal performance
- Test and verify electrical systems following repairs to ensure safety and functionality
- Read and interpret vehicle wiring diagrams and technical documentation
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding electrical issues and repair recommendations
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and workshop procedures
- Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians when required

What we're looking for

- A valid automotive electrician qualification or equivalent recognised certification
- Proven experience working as an automotive electrician, ideally 3+ years in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, including charging systems, starting systems, and lighting circuits




- Proficiency with automotive diagnostic equipment and electrical testing tools
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Current driver's licence is desirable
- Knowledge of advanced vehicle electrical systems and hybrid/electric vehicle technology is a plus
