About the role

Jetty Road Bakehouse is seeking a skilled Baker to join our team on a full-time basis in Wallaroo, SA. This is a hands-on position where you will be responsible for creating high-quality baked goods that delight our customers every day. As a key member of our production team, you will play an essential role in maintaining the standards and reputation that Jetty Road Bakehouse is known for in the community.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing and mixing dough and other ingredients according to established recipes and quality standards

- Operating and maintaining bakery equipment, including ovens, mixers, and proofing chambers

- Shaping, portioning and proofing bread, pastries and other baked products

- Monitoring baking times and temperatures to ensure consistent quality and appearance

- Decorating and finishing baked goods as required

- Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment in compliance with food safety regulations

- Receiving and storing ingredients appropriately

- Collaborating with team members to meet daily production targets

- Assisting with inventory management and reporting on supplies

What we're looking for

- Formal qualifications or substantial experience in baking or pastry production

- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients and fermentation processes

- Proficiency in operating commercial bakery equipment

- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality and consistency

- Ability to work early morning shifts and flexible hours, including weekends as required

- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry items regularly





- Strong organisational and time management skills
- A keen interest in continuous improvement and learning new techniques

- Excellent hygiene and food safety awareness

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
