Position Details

n

We are seeking a skilled and qualified Golf Course Mechanic to join our maintenance team at Pelican Waters Golf Club where you will be maintaining a diverse fleet of high-quality turf equipment (Toro and John Deere) that ensures that our 18-hole Greg Norman designed golf course is one of the best courses in Australia.

n

This is a Fixed Term - Full time position working 38 hours a week across a shared roster between Monday to Saturdays.

n

Responsibilities

n

n
- Ensure all vehicles and equipment are maintained and repaired on a timely basis, including mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, sprayers, and small engines (2-stroke and 4-stroke).
n
- Prioritise and attend to urgent repairs of any description.
n
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
n
- Maintain accurate service records and inventory.
n
- Maintain a clean work setting at all times.
n
- Ensure safe operation of equipment is maintained at all times.
n
- Work with the Superintendent and team members to consistently improve the golf course, club grounds, maintenance facility and safety programs.
n
- Follow all safety procedures and environmental regulations.
n
- Adhere to Palm Lake Group Workplace Health & Safety guidelines and all company policies.

To excel in this role, you will bring:

- A Trade Qualification in Mechanical Repair.
n
- Demonstrated experience in small engine repair, including diagnosis & troubleshooting.
n
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and address minor issues proactively.
n
- Physical capability to undertake demanding outdoor tasks in varying weather conditions.
n
- Problem solving skills and the ability to implement effective solutions quickly.
n
- Strong time management skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
n
- A collaborative approach and willingness to support the wider Pelican Waters Golf Resort team.
n
- Initiative to identify improvements to maintenance processes and equipment.
n
- A demonstrated commitment to, and understanding of, safety in all work undertaken
n
- An organised and methodical approach to work scheduling & record keeping
