The Opportunity

We are seeking a part-time Station Manager to lead our small but passionate team. You will oversee day-to-day station operations, drive content strategy, support staff and volunteers, and ensure compliance with technical and licensing standards. This is a hands‑on role perfect for someone who lives and breathes community media and wants to uplift Indigenous voices.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

- Managing daily operations and broadcast quality
- Supervising and mentoring staff and volunteers
- Developing culturally relevant programming schedules




- Handling budgeting, funding/grant applications, and sponsorships
- Engaging with community stakeholders and promoting station initiatives
- Leading strategic planning and technical oversight
- Representing 4K1G at community events and board meetings
- Has previous experience in radio or media but not essential. Training and support provided.
- Understands Indigenous culture, values, and community needs
- Is a natural leader with strong organizational and people skills
- Can write funding submissions and manage budgets
- Demonstrate strong communication and administration skills
- Maintain a respectful and collaborative relationship with Board of Directors, ensuring station operations align with the Organizational strategic direction
- Is passionate about community media and storytelling
