Finance Manager, Corporate Valuation and Transactions Project

Accounting and Finance | Corporate Finance | 4 month contract

Melbourne CBD | Hybrid Working | $800 - $900 per day plus super

A large, privately structured services business is appointing a Finance Manager on a 4 month contract to lead a defined body of work across corporate valuation, planning, and transaction support. This is a project engagement, brought in to deliver a specific set of outcomes within a fixed window, not an ongoing operating role.

The Project

n

- Build and deliver corporate financial models and valuation analyses supporting equity and debt related decisions, including sensitivity and scenario analysis
n
- Deliver modelling outputs for a defined valuation and impairment testing cycle within the engagement window
n
- Lead a focused planning and forecasting exercise, running sessions with senior leaders and executives to land aligned assumptions within the project timeframe
n
- Produce a set of Board papers and management presentations covering the planning and forecasting outcomes
n
- Support an active transaction workstream;including refinancing, partnerships, or other strategic activity through modelling, valuation and due diligence input
n




- Review a defined set of investment cases and business proposals alongside the project delivery function, assessing assumptions, risk and strategic alignment
n
- Hand over a clear, well documented body of work at the end of the engagement, providing guidance to a direct report along the way

Background Required

n

n
- Ten or more years in senior finance roles across corporate finance, FP&A;, corporate strategy, transaction services, or related fields
n
- Robust valuation background, ideally including fully integrated shareholder corporate valuation models
n
- Exposure to debt refinancing or M&A; activity highly regarded
n
- Track record delivering defined pieces of work to a fixed timeframe, not just ongoing operational cadence
n
- Confident operating with senior executives and Board level stakeholders
n
- Available to start at short notice and comfortable scoping and delivering a project independently
n
