Harrison McMillan is partnering with a respected accounting and advisory firm to recruit a Senior Accountant with strong taxation and SMSF experience.

This is an exciting opportunity for a client-focused accounting professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional outcomes, building trusted relationships, and contributing to the growth of businesses across a diverse client portfolio.

The Opportunity As a Senior Accountant, you will work closely with clients, providing high-quality compliance and advisory services while supporting the development of junior team members and contributing to a collaborative team culture.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing a portfolio of business clients across various industries

Preparing and reviewing financial statements, tax returns, and BAS obligations

Providing proactive taxation, business, and financial advice

Assisting clients with budgeting, forecasting, and business performance analysis

Building and maintaining strong client relationships

Mentoring and supporting junior accountants





Identifying opportunities to add value and support client growth

About You To be successful in this role, you will possess:

CA or CPA qualification

Minimum 5 years' experience within public practice accounting

Strong knowledge of Australian taxation legislation and accounting standards

SMSF compliance and reporting experience

Exposure to or experience in business valuations, business restructuring, family law matters, and estate planning/estate administration engagements

Experience managing client relationships independently

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A proactive, commercial, and solutions-focused mindset
