Band 5 $77,357 to $88,159,plus 12% statutory superannuation
A temporary full-time opportunityexists for an organised and customer-focused administration professional tojoin Wellington Shire Council from 30 November 2026 to 24 December 2027.
As Infrastructure Development Support Officer,you will provide efficient and effective administrative, secretarial andcustomer service support to the Infrastructure Development team within theBuilt Environment business unit. This role is an important first point ofcontact for general enquiries and supports the team through accurate recordsmanagement, meeting coordination, correspondence, reporting and day-to-dayadministrative processes.
About the Prospect
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing administrative support to the Infrastructure Development team, including filing, database and records management.
- Preparing agendas, taking minutes and supporting meeting arrangements, including room bookings, car bookings and catering where required.
- Acting as a key liaison point for general enquiries and coordinating follow-up with the appropriate team member.
- Assisting with weekly reconciliation, reporting and administration processes for statutory planning and infrastructure development matters.
- Supporting the review and improvement of administrative and operational systems and procedures.
- Preparing correspondence and documents using Microsoft Office Suite and other Council systems.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Certificate III in Business Administration or relevant industry experience obtained through formal or informal training would be advantageous.
- Previous experience working in an administration team or similar environment,
ideally supporting a busy service area.
- Strong computer and keyboard skills, including sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Well-developed organisational and time management skills, with the ability to set priorities, plan work and meet deadlines.
- Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to deal professionally with a wide range of people.
- Initiative, sound judgement and the ability to handle sensitive or confidential matters with tact and professionalism.
- A collaborative approach and a willingness to contribute to continuous improvement of administrative systems and processes.
