We are currently seeking an experienced Breeder Farm Leading Hand to support day-to-day poultry operations at our Tamworth Farm (Woodleigh 2 Farm). The successful candidate needs to have availability from Monday to Sunday.

Key Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):

- Leading a team of employees, establish and manage effective working relationships
- Actively lead day to day operations on a working farm, assisting the Farm Manager to meet key performance indicators
- Receiving production instructions and allocating work to employees
- Controlling the standards of work and work output to targets
- Identifying poor performance and behaviour and refer the matter to Farm Manager or Breeder Supervisor
- Develop and maintain workplace systems
- Training and assessing employees, ensuring all team members are adequately trained and have completed the required documentation
- Participate in safety audits and safety initiatives
- Acquire and analyse workplace information and contribute to planning
- Manage personal and teamwork priorities




- Maintain high safety standards within the team, regularly access the work area to identify any issues and organise corrective action
- Maintain high standards of animal welfare within the team and ensure all team members have appropriate training
- Communicate with the team and Farm Manager in a regular planned format and as required

Requirements:

- High level communication skills – verbal and written
- Demonstrated skills/experience in working on a commercial poultry farm,conflict resolution and team management
- High level of attention to detail regarding animal welfare and production standards
- Ability to work independently, show initiative and assist the Farm Manager in the day-to-day operations of a commercial poultry farm
- Ability to implement Company policies and legislation to ensure compliance of the Company
- Positive attitude with the ability to remain calm under pressure and communicate
- Current Driver's Licence
