Workfast is looking for an experienced Landscaper / Grounds Maintenance Worker to join a leading industrial site in Townsville, QLD.

We are currently seeking an experienced Grounds Maintenance Worker to maintain outdoor areas across a large industrial site and nearby solar facility. This is a hands‐on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in keeping grounds, gardens and surrounding areas well maintained.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Operate ride‐on mowers and other grounds maintenance equipment.
n
- Use whipper snippers, blowers and hand tools to maintain outdoor areas.
n
- Carry out general mowing, trimming and grounds maintenance.
n
- Undertake weed control and spraying activities in accordance with site procedures.
n
- Maintain gardens, lawns, pathways and surrounding outdoor areas.
n
- Identify and report areas requiring maintenance or additional attention.
n
- Complete general groundskeeping and outdoor maintenance tasks.
n
- Ensure equipment is operated safely and maintained in positive working condition.
n
- Follow all workplace health,



safety and environmental procedures.
n
- Maintain a clean, safe and presentable work environment.
n

What You Bring to the Team

n

n
- Experience operating ride‐on mowers and grounds maintenance equipment.
n
- Experience using whipper snippers and other powered hand tools.
n
- Experience with weed spraying or chemical application is highly desirable.
n
- Strong work ethic and a practical, hands‐on approach.
n
- Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks.
n
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
n
- Full Australian working rights.
n
- Ability to pass a pre‐employment medical and drug & alcohol test.
n
- Commitment to workplace health and safety.
n

Qualifications

n

n
- ACDC - would be a huge bonus
n
- Any VOC's for statement of attainments for using machinery such as chain saws would be a bonus.
n
- Operation, inspection and maintenance of irrigation systems, bore irrigation systems, pumps, sprays,
n
- risers and related machinery.
n
- Approved herbicide and weedicide application practices, including weed hygiene and prevention of
