We are seeking a skilled and energetic Maintenance/Mechanical Fitter to join our Yatala QLD site as a Maintenance Supervisor! In this dynamic role, you'll be at the heart of our IBC manufacturing facility, working closely with a small, committed team of three and taking the lead on all mechanical repairs and maintenance.

About the Role

n

You will take ownership of all maintenance activities across the plant, ensuring equipment, utilities, and infrastructure are maintained to support safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

n

Maintenance Operations

n

n
- Plan, schedule and perform preventive and corrective maintenance
n
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime
n




- Maintain production equipment including blow moulding, welding, assembly and reconditioning lines
n
- Oversee plant utilities (compressors, cooling systems, hydraulics, electrical systems)
n
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reporting
n
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
n
- Analyse trends to reduce recurring breakdowns
n
- Work closely with production and engineering to improve performance
n

Safety & Compliance

n

n
- Ensure all work complies with WHS and company standards
n
- Conduct inspections, risk assessments and participate in safety meetings
n
- Maintain audit and compliance documentation
n
- Support, guide and coordinate electricians, apprentices and contractors
n
- Allocate work and monitor performance
n
- Promote a strong safety‐first culture
n

Inventory & Cost Control

n

n
- Manage spare parts and critical inventory
n
- Coordinate procurement of parts and services
n
- Monitor maintenance costs and support budgeting
n

n

About You

n

n
- Applicants must hold eithern n
- An Australia-recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification; or
n
- An overseas trade qualification that has been formally recognised/equivalent in Australia.
n

- Experience in Supervising a small team
n
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
n
- Previous Leading Hand or supervisory experience advantageous
n
- Strong fault‐finding and problem‐solving capability
n
- Experience with SAP or similar systems advantageous
n
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
n
- Safety‐focused with a proactive approach
n
- Comfortable working in a fast‐paced environment
n
- Connect/Disconnect Licence Preferred but not essential.
