About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Beekeeper to join our team on a full time basis to oversee the care and maintenance of our bee colonies.

Key responsibilities

- Inspect beehives regularly to monitor colony health and productivity
- Identify and address diseases, parasites, and other hive issues
- Manage hive population through techniques such as splitting and requeening
- Harvest and process honey, beeswax, and other hive products
- Keep detailed records of hive conditions, treatments, and yields
- Maintain and repair beekeeping equipment
- Ensure all activities comply with local agricultural and safety regulations
- Support educational or outreach events when needed

About you

- Previous experience in beekeeping or a related field
- Knowledge of honeybee biology and seasonal hive management
- Ability to work independently and outdoors in varying weather conditions




- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Physical ability to lift hives and equipment (up to 50 lbs)
- A valid driver's licence
- Formal training or certification in apiculture or entomology (preferred)
- Experience with sustainable beekeeping practices (preferred)
- Familiarity with queen rearing and hive expansion techniques (preferred)
