Are you a confident Beauty Therapist who loves variety, working with people and being part of a busy, supportive team?

Essential Beauty Cockburn is looking for an experienced Beauty Therapist to join our team. Body piercing experience is not required — full piercing training is provided.

This isn't your typical beauty salon role. One appointment might be waxing or tinting, the next could be helping a client choose jewellery, assisting with a piercing or helping a nervous young client through their first ear piercing.

We specialise in professional body piercing, waxing for women and men, Brazilian waxing, eyebrow waxing and tinting, lash lifts and tints, spray tans and a range of other beauty treatments.

Body piercing and jewellery are a major part of what we do, with our salons welcoming families, women and men of all ages.

ABOUT OUR COCKBURN SALON

We're a busy, fast-paced salon with a strong focus on customer service, teamwork and supporting each other.

We work hard, but we also believe work should be enjoyable. We have a friendly team environment where everyone contributes — whether that's looking after clients, helping another team member, keeping displays stocked, maintaining the salon or jumping in when things get busy.

We're looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team and is happy to get involved in all areas of the salon.

YOUR ROLE

Your days will include plenty of variety, including:

- Waxing and beauty treatments

- Body piercing once trained and assessed

- Helping clients select and purchase body jewellery

- Providing excellent customer service and advice

- Reception, bookings and client enquiries

- Maintaining jewellery displays and stock





- Keeping the salon clean, organised and presentation-ready

- Supporting other team members during busy periods

You'll receive comprehensive body piercing training through Essential Beauty's training program, together with practical in-salon training and assessments.

Your first few weeks will involve a strong commitment to training and learning all aspects of the role.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for someone who:

- Holds a Certificate IV or Diploma in Beauty Therapy

- Is confident and experienced in waxing and tinting

- Ideally has 1–2 years' salon experience

- Has excellent customer service and communication skills

- Is comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment

- Enjoys retail and helping clients choose products and jewellery

- Is reliable, proactive and willing to learn

- Is a genuine team player who notices what needs doing and gets involved

Previous body piercing experience is welcome but not essential, as training will be provided.

AVAILABILITY

This is a casual position, approximately 3–4 days per week, with the opportunity for additional shifts during busy periods.

Applicants must be available to work Saturdays and approximately one Sunday per month.

Flexibility during busy periods, including school holidays and the Christmas period, will be highly regarded.
