Biomedical Service Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Biomedical Service Engineer to join our growing Sydney team. This role combines field service work across major hospital sites with hands on workshop support from our Sydney base. You’ll work with advanced infusion technology used in critical care environments, ensuring devices perform safely, accurately, and reliably.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior biomed or electronics engineer who enjoys autonomy, problem?solving, and working closely with clinical stakeholders. Interstate travel will be required at times to support customers across Australia.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Service, support, and troubleshoot advanced infusion devices
- Manage on?site device performance across key Sydney hospital partners
- Conduct preventative maintenance, calibration, and performance verification
- Provide workshop based repairs, testing, and technical support
- Respond to urgent service requests and fault reports
- Maintain accurate service documentation and compliance records
- Work closely with clinical staff, biomedical teams, and hospital engineering departments
- Collaborate with national and global technical support teams
- Travel interstate when required

What You’ll Bring

- 4–6+ years’ experience in biomedical engineering, hospital biomed technician work, or electronics engineering




- Proven experience servicing medical devices in hospital or clinical environments
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and fault finding capability
- Ability to work independently across field and workshop settings
- Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with clinical stakeholders
- High attention to detail and robust commitment to safety and regulatory standards
- Full Australian working rights

Nice to Have

- Experience with infusion therapy equipment or other life supporting medical devices
- Familiarity with medical device compliance, quality systems, and safety frameworks
- Previous experience working closely with ICU, theatres, or high facuity clinical teams

Qualifications

- Tertiary qualification in biomedical engineering, electronics, mechatronics, or related fields (preferred)
- Significant experience servicing medical devices in hospital or clinical environments
