We're a repair and refit shop, not a builder. Boats arrive with a scope, a deadline and an owner who cares — Maritimo, Sunseeker, Riviera, Viking, Caribbean, Bertram, the odd yacht and trailer boats. Working out the process, and method of repair, is a major part of the job; we want your read on it. We settle the approach between us before the work starts.

You'll get to know the boats like they're your own The same boats come back to us year after year. You'll know their history, what's been done to them and what's coming up next, and you'll talk to the owners directly about them.

Where you'll work

Boats in the water, boats on the hardstands, and the O'Connor workshop. You're not stuck in the one setting all year, which matters more in July and February than it does in October. Full time, permanent, paid weekly.

The work

Many wide-ranging tasks on many varied boats — small trailer boats through to full refits in the workshop. You work on all aspects of the vessel.

- Structural repairs — hull, deck, framing, bulkheads, core replacement




- Fibreglass and composite repair, fairing, and prep through to a sprayed finish
- Fit-out and refit — hatches, windows, fittings, seating, hardware
- Davits, rails, stainless fitting and refitting
- Vessel systems — keeping boats to spec and running right through the year
- Timber and teak when it comes up — decks, trim, joinery

What you'll bring

- A trade qualification, or comparable proven experience — shipwright, boatbuilder or marine repairer
- Happy working across many different tasks on many different boats. No two jobs here look the same.
- Current driver's licence
