Boilermaker / Welder — mobile welding and structural steel

WayloCo is a one-man mobile welding and fabrication business based in Mandurah, working for builders, architects and commercial clients across Peel and Perth. Structural steel installs, on-site repairs, fabrication and a growing amount of heritage and specialist work. The work is booked and the owner is on the tools every day. It's time for a second set of hands who can do what he does.

What the job is

- Site work: structural steel installs (columns, beams, brackets), on-site welding and repairs, working to engineers' drawings.
- Workshop fabrication in Mandurah: brackets, frames, gates, handrails, one-off jobs.
- MIG and stick every day. TIG on stainless and aluminium when the job calls for it — that skill is a big plus here and pays for itself.
- Working with the owner as a two-man crew on most days, and on your own on smaller jobs once you've shown you can.

Who we're after
- Trade qualified (Boilermaker, Fabrication or Welding) with real site experience, not just a workshop.
- Reliable. Turns up when you said you would, tells the truth about how a job is going, leaves the site tidy.
- Can read a drawing, set out, and fabricate to it.
- MIG and stick to a structural standard.



TIG on stainless and aluminium — we'll test on the day.
- WA driver's licence and White Card. EWP, dogging or rigging tickets are a bonus.
- Comfortable talking to builders and homeowners on site, because you'll be the face of the business when you're there.

What you get
- $50–$70 an hour casual depending on tickets and what you can do, plus super, plus travel allowance under the award. Paid weekly.
- All PPE and consumables supplied.
- Varied work: no two weeks the same. Structural, repairs, fabrication, heritage cast iron.
- A small business that's growing on the back of doing things properly. If you're positive, you'll grow with it.

Pay: $50.00 – $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 40.0 per week
