This is not your standard bookkeeping role. As our Bookkeeping Services Lead, you’ll take ownership of the finance function across a portfolio of clients, while also leading and supporting our remote finance team.

You’ll be part of a close-knit team, working closely with our leadership team and clients. It’s a hands-on role where your experience, initiative and ability to get things done will genuinely make a difference.

The Role

As Finance Operations Lead, you’ll be responsible for keeping the finance function running smoothly across your portfolio of clients and supporting the team around you. Your day-to-day will be leading a team to deliver on the following:

- Managing bookkeeping and finance operations across multiple clients
- Month-end close, reconciliations and financial reporting
- AP/AR, journals, debtor management and maintaining clean financials
- Managing workflow and ensuring deadlines and agreed turnaround times are met
- Reviewing work and maintaining high standards across the finance function
- Working closely with the payroll team to keep processes aligned
- Working directly with clients to resolve issues and provide support
- Reviewing financial data, identifying trends, errors and opportunities
- Improving systems and processes as Thrive continues to grow
- Making sure nothing falls through the cracks

About You

You’re an experienced finance professional who enjoys taking ownership, working across multiple priorities and being part of a close-knit team.

You’ll have

- Strong bookkeeping experience and the ability to confidently manage a portfolio of clients in various industries
- Advanced Excel skills, including building, analysing and interpreting financial reports and data




- Experience managing or leading a remote team
- Strong experience across month-end, reconciliations and financial reporting
- Experience with AP/AR, journals and debtor management
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work to strict deadlines and turnaround times
- Confidence reviewing financials and identifying issues, trends and opportunities
- A proactive approach and the ability to see what needs to be done and follow it through
- Strong & clear communication skills and confidence working with clients, your team and leadership
- The ability to work independently while remaining connected to the wider team
- A willingness to learn our systems and processes and adapt to the way Thrive operates
- An interest in improving processes and finding better ways of working

Your qualifications and industry experience:

- Cert IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping minimum
- BAS Agent registration highly regarded
- Labour hire, NDIS or workforce-based business experience is a bonus
