About the Role This is a hands-on Farm Manager position suited to someone who enjoys being actively involved in farm operations rather than managing purely from an office.

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day performance of the breeder farm, with a minimum of 50% hands-on involvement across the operation.

You will be responsible for flock performance, egg production and quality, bird welfare, biosecurity and farm efficiency, while leading and supporting the farm team.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day breeder farm operations and flock performance
- Monitor bird health,



behaviour and production
- Manage feed, water, lighting and environmental conditions
- Oversee egg collection, handling and quality
- Monitor production results including egg numbers, fertility, hatchability and mortality
- Identify and troubleshoot production issues
- Implement corrective actions and drive improvements
- Lead, train and support farm staff
- Maintain high standards of biosecurity, animal welfare and farm hygiene
- Ensure farm procedures and company standards are consistently followed
- Monitor farm performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity
- Work closely with wider agricultural and operational teams
- Support breeding and long-term flock management strategies

About You

You will ideally have

- Previous experience managing a poultry, breeder, broiler or livestock operation
- Strong hands-on farming and animal husbandry skills
- Experience leading or supervising a farm team
- A good understanding of poultry production, animal welfare and biosecurity
- Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills
- The ability to take ownership of farm performance and work autonomously
- Good communication and organisational skills
- A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to be actively involved in daily farm operations
