Business Architect

12-month contract | Brisbane | 50/50 hybrid

We are seeking an experienced Business Architect to support a major information management transformation within a large Queensland Government organisation. The role will help shape a new Enterprise Content Management (ECM) capability, with a solid focus on ConOps, future-state operating models, business processes, Information Architecture and stakeholder engagement. You’ll work across business and technology teams to ensure the new ECM capability aligns with organisational needs, practical ways of working and future-state operations.

Key responsibilities

- Lead the development of the ECM Concept of Operations (ConOps).
- Facilitate workshops and operational modelling activities to define future-state business operations and processes.
- Engage stakeholders across the organisation to build alignment around future operating models and ways of working.
- Develop practical adoption pathways to support organisational transition and user acceptance.
- Identify opportunities to improve and optimise existing business processes.
- Provide specialist advice and input into Information Architecture supporting the ECM solution.
- Support the transition toward a modern ECM architecture and operating model.




- Work with project stakeholders and governance groups to progress information management and architecture objectives.
- Ensure architecture decisions support organisational requirements, compliance obligations and future-state capabilities.
- Contribute to Service Design activities, including alignment between the operating model and end-user support arrangements.

About you You will bring experience across several of the following areas:

- Business Architecture and operating model design
- Enterprise Content Management (ECM)
- Information Management and Information Architecture
- Information Governance
- Document and Records Management
- Business process design and improvement
- Organisational transformation and adoption
- Stakeholder facilitation and workshop delivery
- Experience with OpenText would be highly regarded, although broader enterprise content management experience will also be considered.
- You will be comfortable working across business and technology stakeholders and translating complex information management requirements into practical operating models, processes and adoption approaches.
