Company Description

Medihub is an Australian provider of mobility aids, medical equipment and daily living solutions that help people live more independently and comfortably. Our range includes wheelchairs, mobility scooters, walking aids, and bathroom and home-safety equipment, supported by competitive pricing, nationwide delivery and dedicated customer service.

Through our online platform and growing network of partners, we make these products more accessible. As we expand, we are looking for a proactive Business Development Manager to build new relationships, convert opportunities and drive partner revenue.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Sydney, NSW, with regular travel to prospective and existing partners.

The Business Development Manager will take ownership of generating new business through proactive outbound prospecting, face-to-face visits and consistent lead nurturing. You will actively identify opportunities, initiate conversations with decision-makers and move prospects through the sales process, from first contact to onboarding and ongoing sales.

Success in this role requires initiative, persistence and commercial accountability. You will be expected to build your own pipeline, respond promptly to enquiries and maintain momentum through purposeful follow-up and clear next steps.

Key Responsibilities

- Proactively identify and approach potential partners, including pharmacies, aged care providers, nursing and home-care services, allied health professionals, support coordinators and mobility retailers.
- Generate qualified leads through outbound calls, targeted emails, LinkedIn outreach, networking and in-person visits.
- Plan and carry out regular field visits to meet decision-makers, demonstrate Medihub’s offering and progress partnership discussions.
- Nurture leads through structured, timely follow-up, addressing objections and keeping opportunities moving towards a decision.
- Take ownership of the full sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery meetings, presentations, proposals,

negotiation and closing.
- Respond promptly to inbound enquiries and turn initial interest into clear next steps.
- Set and execute weekly prospecting and meeting plans that support monthly partner acquisition and revenue targets.
- Work with internal teams to onboard new partners, deliver training and help them generate their first orders.
- Proactively engage existing partners to increase sales, identify further opportunities and reactivate inactive accounts.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, with clear activity histories, next actions, follow-up dates and realistic sales forecasts.
- Report on outbound activity, pipeline progress, conversion rates, new partnerships and partner revenue, taking action where results fall behind expectations.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated success in outbound business development or new business sales, ideally within healthcare, medical equipment, pharmacy, aged care or a related industry.
- A proven ability to independently build a pipeline, nurture prospects and convert self-generated leads into paying clients or active partners.
- Confidence initiating cold conversations, securing meetings and visiting prospective partners in person.
- Solid presentation, relationship-building and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate commercial value and ask for the sale.
- A proactive, self-directed approach, with strong follow-through and personal ownership of activity, targets and results.
- Excellent organisation and time management, including the ability to plan field visits, prioritise opportunities and manage multiple follow-ups.
- Experience using CRM systems to manage daily activity, maintain pipeline visibility and report on performance.
- Understanding of the Australian healthcare landscape, including NDIS and aged care funding programs, is highly beneficial.
- A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly across Sydney, with occasional regional or interstate travel as required.
- Relevant qualifications in business, marketing or healthcare are advantageous, although demonstrated sales performance and relevant experience are highly valued.
