High Intensity Disability Support Worker - Deception Bay and Ningi

Experienced Support Worker for NDIS Participants

n

Are you a skilled and compassionate qualified with experience in supporting NDIS participants with higher needs, requiring 24/7 support?
n We are seeking highly trained and passionate individuals to provide support for multiple participants across multiple sites.

n

About the Role

n

In this position, you will work closely with NDIS participants who require 24 hour in-home/SIL support. Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- MUST be available for 2 sleepovers a week 3pm-9am
n
- Supporting participants in daily activities, including personal hygiene and cooking.
n
- Working in accordance with PBSP guidelines.
n
- Managing behaviours of concern using evidence-based strategies.
n
- Collaborating with the participant's care team to ensure consistency in support strategies.
n

Key Requirements

n

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

n

Qualifications: Formal qualifications in Community Services, Individual Support, Mental Health, or related fields.

n

Experience: At least 12 months of recent experience in the Healthcare industry in roles such as High-Intensity Supports,



Disability Complex Needs, Mental Health, Behavioural Support, Nursing, or Social Work.

n

Training: Certification in behaviours of concern or similar frameworks is highly desirable.

n

Compliance: Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, Police Check, Basic Life Support/CPR certification, and First Aid qualifications are mandatory.

n

Transport: A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle are essential.
