Caloundra Power Boat Club is seeking an experienced Barista & Café Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day operation of our Portside Café.

n

This is a hands‐on role suited to someone who thrives in a quick‐paced hospitality workplace, works well under pressure and takes pride in delivering consistently high standards of coffee, food presentation and customer service.

n

With day shifts only, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional looking for a full‐time role without late‐night work.

Key Responsibilities

n

Coordinate the day-to-day operations of Portside Café.

n

Prepare and serve consistently high-quality coffee and beverages.

n

Deliver friendly, professional and efficient customer service.

n

Monitor stock levels, stock rotation and assist with ordering.

n

Manage POS operations, cash handling, EFTPOS transactions and daily reconciliation.

n

Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, food safety and hygiene.

n

Prepare and present café food and cakes for sale.

n

Ensure the café operates efficiently during high-volume periods.

n

Promote a positive, professional and team-focused workplace.

n





Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety and Club policies.

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

Minimum 5 years' experience in hospitality, café or barista roles.

n

Strong barista skills and a genuine passion for quality coffee.

n

The ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment.

n

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

n

Strong organisational and time-management skills.

n

Confidence handling cash, POS systems and reconciliations.

n

Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements.

n

A positive, reliable and hands‐on approach.

n

The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

n

Relevant hospitality and food‐handling qualifications are highly regarded.
