Home Care Worker – Community

St Mary's Home Service | Sunshine Coast

St Mary's Home Service is seeking caring, compassionate and reliable Home Care Workers to join our community care team.

n

This is a community-based role, supporting clients in their own homes across the Sunshine Coast. You will travel to different client locations throughout the region, so applicants must be comfortable travelling as part of their working day and have reliable access to their own vehicle.

n

The role is ideal for someone who enjoys a diverse and rewarding position, building positive relationships with clients and supporting them to remain independent, safe and connected within their own homes.

n

About the Role

n

You will provide personalised support to clients with a range of care needs, including:

n

- Personal care such as showering, dressing and continence care
n
- Assisting with activities of daily living
n
- Domestic assistance and maintaining a safe and hygienic home environment
n
- Meal preparation
n
- Medication assistance, where applicable
n
- Social support and companionship
n




- Supporting clients to attend appointments and community activities
n
- Assisting clients to maintain their independence and quality of life
n
- Following individual care plans and providing care in accordance with client needs
n

Essential Requirements

n

For certified Home Care Worker positions, you will require:

n

n
- Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or equivalent
n
- National Criminal History Record Check
n
- Current unrestricted Australian driver's licence
n
- Comprehensive vehicle insurance and reliable access to your own vehicle for work
n
- Smart mobile phone
n
- Internet access
n
