About the role

As the Business Manager, you will provide strategic financial leadership and expert business advisory services to Metro North Mental Health, supporting the delivery of sustainable, high-quality mental health services across a complex and dynamic healthcare workplace. Working in partnership with senior executives, clinical leaders and operational managers, you will drive informed decision-making through comprehensive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting and activity analysis.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

- Support the service line and facility executive to develop and implement health care service delivery in line with the Metro North Health strategic vision and objectives.
- Support the service line and facility executive in developing and implementing annual business plans (incorporating clinical activity levels, workforce, quality requirements, and operating and capital budget).
- Coordinate the service line process of operating budget and forecast
- Provide monthly reporting analysis and advice on service line and cost centre performance in terms of expenditure, FTE and activity highlighting relevant variances and providing potential solutions/options to assist in decision making processes within an activity-based and block funding environment.
- Undertake operational performance management activities (including data analysis and investigation,



the provision of regular reports and recommendations to executive and cost centre managers) by monitoring and analysing data from relevant information systems in relation to patient activity levels, budget, financial position and forecasts, human resource and workplace health and safety indicators.
