About the Ngaanyatjarra Council The Ngaanyatjarra Lands are managed by the Ngaanyatjarra Council Group, a wholly community-led entity representing the interests of Traditional Owners (Yarnangu) across 11 communities in Central and Goldfields WA. Each community is autonomous and separately incorporated.

Established in 1981, the Ngaanyatjarra Council Group (NCG) employs over 450 people and provides a wide range of services including health, utilities, construction, employment, community development, retail, art centres, and land management. NCG is one of Australia’s largest and most successful Indigenous organisations.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Camp Security Guard to join our Work Health and Safety team and provide a visible security presence within designated worker accommodation camps across the Ngaanyatjarra Lands. This is an entry-level camp security position focused on maintaining a safe, secure and orderly camp environment. You will be responsible for monitoring access, conducting routine checks, maintaining accurate records and promptly escalating security concerns.

You will work closely with the Remote Security team, camp staff and other NCG personnel, following established procedures and directions. This role is suited to someone who is calm, reliable, observant and professional, with the ability to work independently at a static post for extended periods.

In this role you will be responsible for:

- Maintaining a visible security presence within the designated camp.

- Monitoring camp entry and exit points, facilities and common areas.

- Controlling and monitoring access in accordance with site procedures.

- Checking identification and visitor details where required.





- Maintaining accurate visitor and vehicle registers.

- Monitoring arrivals and departures and identifying unauthorised access.

- Conducting routine security checks of designated areas.

- Identifying and reporting suspicious, unusual or unauthorised activity.

- Maintaining accurate hourly security and activity logs.

- Recording security concerns, incidents and unusual activity.

- Completing clear and factual end-of-shift reports.

- Providing accurate handover information to the incoming Camp Guard.

- Raising the appropriate alarm and notifying relevant personnel during an emergency.

- Following camp emergency and evacuation procedures.

- Supporting access control and maintaining clear entry points during emergencies, as directed.

- Working cooperatively with Remote Security Officers, camp staff and other NCG personnel.

- Maintaining respectful and professional interactions with workers, contractors, visitors and community members.

- Respecting cultural and community protocols and maintaining confidentiality.

- Following NCG policies, procedures and lawful directions.

About You To be considered for this role, you will possess the following:

Essential:

- Current WA Security Officer Licence.

- Certificate II in Security Operations.

- Current First Aid and CPR certification.

- Current National Police Clearance.

- Current unrestricted Australian driver's licence.

- Basic experience in static guarding, gatehouse duties, access control or a similar security environment.

- Ability to check identification and maintain accurate visitor and vehicle registers.

- Ability to complete clear,



factual and timely security and incident reports.

- Ability to maintain accurate hourly logs and complete end-of-shift reporting.

- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.

- Good communication skills and a calm, respectful and professional approach.

- Ability to follow established procedures, lawful directions and emergency escalation processes.

- Basic computer, radio and telephone skills

- Ability to work safely and independently at a static post for extended periods.

- Strong alertness and situational awareness throughout a shift.

- Ability to work respectfully with workers, contractors, visitors and community members in a remote environment.

- Ability to pass pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening and fitness-for-work requirements.

Desirable:

- PUAFER008: Confine small emergencies in a facility (fire extinguisher).

- RIIVEH305F: Operate and maintain a 4WD or similar vehicle.

- Basic Microsoft Office skills.

- Previous experience working in remote or isolated environments.

- Previous experience working with Aboriginal communities or Indigenous organisations.

- Experience using security monitoring, access control or visitor management systems.
