Trendy Carpentry is a residential carpentry and construction business based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. We specialise in cut-on-site timber framing for new homes, extensions and renovations across Sydney and surrounding areas. Our reputation is built on accurate set-out, quality framing and reliable delivery for builders and homeowners alike.We work closely with builders, site managers and other trades to ensure every frame is straight, true and compliant with the National Construction Code and Australian Standards.

As a growing business, we value tradespeople who take pride in their workmanship, lead by example and keep sites safe and productive.We require a Carpenter Supervisor to join our team.Duties and responsibilities include:

- Study drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures

- Order and select timbers and materials, and prepare layouts and set-outs on site

- Cut materials, and assemble and nail cut and shaped parts

- Erect wall framework and roof framing, lay sub-flooring and floorboards and verify trueness of structures

- Nail fascia panels, sheath roofs, and fit exterior wall cladding and door and window frames

- Cut wood joints and assemble prepared timber to form structures and fittings ready for installation

- Construct concrete formwork and repair existing fittings as required

- Supervise and coordinate the framing crew, allocate daily tasks and monitor work to ensure all tasks are completed as required

- Ensure consistency of quality, accuracy and compliance with plans, the NCC and Australian Standards





- Interact with builders and site managers to ensure work consistently meets client expectations and program

- Monitor, order and maintain stock of materials, fixings and consumables to ensure sufficient levels are available on site

- Estimate quantities and costs of materials required for each job

- Minimise material waste and ensure sites are kept clean and orderly

- Report progress, staff shortages and site issues to management for further action

- Arrange for equipment maintenance and repairs if required

- Proactively identify risks and eliminate accidents from the workplace by promoting an excellent Health & Safety culture and practices among staff

- Ensure and enforce safe work method statements and report all incidents affecting safety to management

- Provide training, develop and mentor apprentices and junior carpenters

Key requirements

- AQF Certificate III in Carpentry with at least two years' on-the-job training, or Certificate IV or above

- Current NSW Carpentry Licence or Qualified Supervisor Certificate

- Minimum 3 years' experience in cut-in office framing on residential projects

- Demonstrated experience supervising and leading a crew

- Own hand and power tools

- Reliable transport and willingness to travel to sites daily across Sydney and surrounding areas

- Current White Card

- Strong ability to read and interpret plans and specifications

- Sound knowledge of the NCC, Australian Standards and WHS obligations

- Able to adapt to tight programs with a sense of urgency

- Commitment to high standards of workmanship and safety

- Solid communication skills relevant to coordinating with builders, trades and staff

This is a full-time position, 38 hours per week. A remuneration package of $79,500 per annum will be offered to the successful candidate.APPLY NOW through the online application form.
