Carpenter – Full-Time

Spyder Motors Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Carpenter to work across our clients’ construction projects, including residential homes, commercial buildings and public spaces throughout NSW and WA.

This is a full-time opportunity to join a supportive, multidisciplinary team and contribute to a variety of high-quality construction projects.

About You The successful applicant will demonstrate:

- Certificate III in Carpentry or an equivalent relevant qualification
- A minimum of three years of relevant carpentry experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and construction plans
- Strong knowledge of carpentry methods, materials and building practices
- Experience constructing, installing, maintaining and repairing timber structures and fixtures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
- Positive physical fitness, stamina and manual-handling capability
- High level of accuracy and precision
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Strong practical problem-solving abilities
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport preferred
- Flexibility to work across project locations in NSW and WA when required

Key Responsibilities

- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, specifications and engineering plans
- Measure,



mark, cut, shape and assemble timber and other construction materials
- Construct, install, maintain and repair walls, floors, ceilings, stairs, door frames, windows, cabinetry and other fixtures
- Erect frameworks and install subflooring, floorboards, cladding and prefabricated components
- Ensure all carpentry work complies with relevant building codes, project specifications, safety requirements and quality standards
- Safely and efficiently operate hand tools, power tools and relevant machinery
- Calculate material quantities and assist with preparing work plans and project estimates
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, clients and other trades to achieve project requirements
- Assist with supervising junior carpenters and other site workers where required
- Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy and compliance before installation or project handover
- Identify and resolve on-site issues to help keep projects on schedule
- Maintain clean, organised and safe work areas
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment
