About the role

South Coast Tiles is seeking a qualified carpenter to step up into a Foreman / Site Supervisor role running bathroom and home renovation jobs end to end across the Illawarra and Wollongong region.

Key responsibilities

- Run renovation sites from start to finish, on time and on budget
- Carry out carpentry works and supervise carpenters and apprentices on site
- Coordinate subcontractors including tilers, plumbers, electricians, plasterers and waterproofers
- Set out and program works, order materials and keep jobs moving between trades
- Liaise directly with clients, keep them informed and manage expectations on site
- Maintain quality standards, site presentation and a clean, protected work site
- Complete site documentation, SWMS, inductions and daily reporting
- Carry out site inspections and handover checks with the Director

About you

- Trade qualified carpenter (Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years post-trade experience, with previous leading hand, foreman or supervisor experience
- White Card and current driver's licence
- Strong understanding of residential renovation, particularly bathrooms and wet areas
- Able to read and work from plans,



set out accurately and finish to a high standard
- Good communication skills with clients and trades, and the ability to run a site without being micromanaged
- Reliable, punctual and takes pride in the finished product
- Builder's licence or working towards one (desirable)
- Waterproofing experience or accreditation (desirable)
- Experience with residential renovation scheduling software (desirable)

About us South Coast Tiles is a fourth-generation, Australian-owned business based in Oak Flats, established in 1993. We run a tile showroom alongside a tiling, waterproofing and bathroom renovation business across the Illawarra and Wollongong region.
