Northern Transportables is expanding into South Australia, and we're building our Adelaide team from the ground up. Following our success delivering quality transportable facilities across the Northern Territory, we've opened a new facility in Burton, and work is already in the pipeline. We are seeking motivated and reliable Carpenters and Labourer / Trades Assistants to join our founding Adelaide team, with an immediate start available.

About the Role These are hands-on, multidisciplinary, full-time positions based at our new Burton facility and working across workshop, project and client sites throughout Adelaide and surrounding areas.

You will contribute to the construction, maintenance, refurbishment and installation of transportable buildings while working alongside a team committed to delivering quality workmanship, safe outcomes and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Carpenters

- Measure, cut, prepare, assemble, repair and install building materials
- Deliver high-quality workmanship using a "measure up, cut once" approach




- Read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications
- Complete projects to a professional standard with a quality-first mindset

Labourers / Trades Assistants

- Perform trade support and general labouring duties
- Assist tradespeople and supervisors to ensure projects remain on schedule
- Support construction, maintenance and installation activities

All Roles

- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Assist with site preparation, maintenance and general construction tasks
- Maintain clean, protected and organised work areas
- Complete timesheets, SWMS and required documentation accurately
- Identify and report hazards, incidents and improvement opportunities
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, tradespeople, apprentices and project teams
- Deliver quality outcomes while meeting project deadlines
- Undertake reasonable duties as requested by management

What We're Looking For Essential – Carpenter

- Trade Qualification in Carpentry
- Minimum two (2) years' carpentry experience
- Working at Heights Ticket
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Ticket

Essential – Labourer / Trades Assistant

- Minimum two (2) years' experience in labouring, construction or trade support roles

Essential – All Applicants

- Valid Driver's Licence
- Construction White Card
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety




- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual and fit for work
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Good communication and problem-solving skills

Highly Desirable

- Working at Heights and EWP tickets (for Labourer / Trades Assistant applicants)
- Experience in modular, transportable or commercial construction
- Experience working across multiple project sites
