An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Production Manager to join a well-established FMCG manufacturing operation in Griffith, NSW.

n

Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you will take responsibility for day-to-day production operations, leading a team and driving performance across safety, quality, productivity, efficiency and continuous improvement.

n

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an experienced Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Production Superintendent or Senior Production Supervisor looking to take the next step in their career.

n

About the Role

n

You will oversee production operations across the site, ensuring production plans and customer requirements are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

n

You will lead 2 Production Supervisors and approximately 15–20 permanent production employees, with additional casual employees engaged during the peak production period.

n

Key responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Managing day-to-day production operations and ensuring production targets are achieved
n
- Leading, coaching and developing Production Supervisors and production employees
n




- Planning workforce requirements during the peak production period from approximately mid-June to mid-October
n
- Monitoring production performance, downtime, waste, efficiency and output
n
- Overseeing evaporator and drying processes
n
- Managing production costs and identifying opportunities to improve productivity and reduce waste
n
- Working closely with Maintenance and Quality teams to resolve operational issues and improve plant performance
n
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality, cost and efficiency
n
- Maintaining solid food safety, quality, environmental and workplace health and safety standards
n
- Supporting the introduction of new products, processes and technologies
n
- Taking ownership of team performance, accountability and development
n

About You

n

To be successful, you will ideally have:

n

n
- Previous experience as a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Production Superintendent or Senior Production Supervisor
n
- Experience within dairy, FMCG, food, beverage or process manufacturing
n
- Strong experience leading production teams and supervisors
n
- Experience managing both permanent and casual workforces
n
- Strong knowledge of production planning, KPIs and continuous improvement
n




- Experience with evaporator and drying processes will be highly regarded
n
- Strong understanding of food safety, quality and WHS requirements
n
- Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
n
- A practical, hands-on approach to production management
n

n

Candidates from wine manufacturing or other process manufacturing environments will also be considered where they can demonstrate relevant transferable experience.

n

A degree in Engineering, Food Science, Technology or a related discipline is preferred; however, equivalent industry experience will be considered.

n

- $120,000 – $140,000 + Super, depending on experience
