Yardie / Forklift Operator

Looking for a hands-on yardie who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty?

We are currently looking for a Yardie / Forklift Operator to join a well-established transport company in Townsville.

n

The Role

n

You'll be working around the yard, operating forklifts and mobile equipment while also helping keep the yard clean, organised and running efficiently.

n

Your day may include:

n

n
- Operating forklifts
n
- Operating front-end loaders and Bobcats (if you have the tickets)
n
- Loading and unloading trucks
n
- Moving materials around the yard
n
- General yard duties
n
- Shovelling grain and manual labour when required
n
- Cleaning and maintaining the yard
n
- Helping the wider team wherever needed
n

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

- Physically fit and hands-on
n
- Reliable and punctual
n
- Happy to jump in and get the job done
n




- Comfortable doing manual work when required
n
- Experienced operating forklifts
n
- Confident working around a busy transport yard
n
- Safety-conscious
n
- A team player with a valuable attitude
n

n

Highly desirable:

n

n
- Forklift licence
n
- Front-End Loader ticket (desirable but not essential)
n
- Bobcat ticket (desirable but not essential)
n
- Previous transport, yard or logistics experience
n

n

You don't need to be afraid of a shovel! We're looking for someone who understands that a good yard operator does whatever is needed to keep the place running smoothly.
