Perfect for an ambitious and technically sound Accountant
The Opportunity
The business is an industry leader in the consumer products sector with a Queensland head office. With a strong reputation for being at the forefront of their industry, the finance team is looking for a strong technical accountant to join the Group function as they expand.
The Challenge
- Co-ordination of the completion of month end including reporting to Group accounting and reporting teams
- Co-ordination of the completion of monthly financial reconciliations including all balance sheet reconciliations together with necessary supporting documentation
- Ensure the integrity of the general ledger and journal entries are in accordance with the Group policy
- Assist with the monthly/annual/periodic reporting requirements
- Manage lease contracts in line with IFRS 16 lease accounting standards
- Support and engage with the business units commercial/operations teams
- Supporting the resolution of issues with business process knowledge and identifying process improvements
- Assist the Finance Manager with ad hoc projects and tasks
The Expertise

- You have recently completed your CA at a reputable Audit firm or have completed your CA /CPA in a large corporate
- Demonstrate an understanding of financial accounting principles and analysis tools
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication with various stakeholders and solid interpersonal skills
