Job Description

This is a hands-on management position suited to someone who enjoys building a team and growing a business. You will take ownership of the division's growth, develop a capable team and build long-term relationships with industrial and commercial clients. You will have the support of DKE's established electrical, mechanical, automation, WHS and administration teams.

Key responsibilities

n

Recruiting, developing and managing electricians, apprentices and supervisors

n

Building a strong, reliable and accountable team culture

n

Developing relationships with new and existing Queensland clients

n

Identifying and securing project, maintenance and service opportunities

n

Preparing estimates, quotations, tenders and project budgets

n

Planning labour, materials, equipment and site requirements

n

Managing electrical projects, shutdowns and service work

n

Monitoring job performance, costs, variations and invoicing

n

Ensuring all work is completed safely and to the required standard

n

Maintaining compliance with Queensland electrical legislation, Australian Standards and DKE procedures

n

About you

n

A current unrestricted Queensland Electrical Work Licence

n





Solid industrial and commercial electrical experience

n

Previous experience leading electrical teams and projects

n

The ability to recruit, mentor and develop tradespeople

n

Experience estimating, quoting and managing project costs

n

Strong client-management and business-development skills

n

A sound understanding of electrical compliance and WHS requirements

n

The ability to manage multiple jobs and changing priorities

n

A current driver's licence

n
